So I'm reading this running book, and one of the chapters is by a psychologist, and talks about your Locus of Control. Chris misread this as "Locust of control", which I think is a wonderful concept. Because, according to the book, it's important to believe that your Locus(t) Of Control is inside yourself - one sees it sitting in a high-backed cushioned chair in the area of the frontal lobes, peering out of the eye-holes and manipulating controls with all six of its arms - rather than being outside, presumably sitting on your shoulder, or in its secret underground lair, doing it all by remote control.
